Mask Making – Prayer Masks
If you have a sewing machine, cotton fabric or elastic, consider either making masks or donating the fabric and elastic. Elastic 1/8 inch or elastic cord are especially needed, as the stores have run out.
There are several patterns on the internet. The simplest one is at: The Turban Project: https://turbanproject.com/face-masks-pdfs
North Memorial Health has a more medical needs one at: https://northmemorial.com/covid-19-donations/
There are several options for drop off. Nearby church, a neighbor has a drop box at her driveway. She also has a box with supplies to make them. Her address is 3127 NE Pierce St, Minneapolis.
For those who don’t live near church, here are other options:
- North Memorial Health: Donations can be made in Robbinsdale at the North Memorial Health Specialty Center, located at 3435 W Broadway Ave, Robbinsdale, MN 55422. The donation drop-off point is behind the building and will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday – Friday. When you come to make your donation, please remain in your car. A staff member will come to your car to collect your donation.
- Maple Grove Hospital: Donations can be made at the main door of Maple Grove Hospital at any time. Maple Grove Hospital is located at 9875 Hospital Drive, Maple Grove, MN 55369. Or mail them to: North Memorial Health, Attn: COVID-19 Donations, 3333 W Broadway Ave, Robbinsdale, MN 55422

Pray over them! Use your own words or these simple ones: Jesus Christ, you traveled through towns and villages “curing every disease and illness.” At your command, the sick were made well. Come to our aid now, in the midst of the global spread of the coronavirus, that we may experience your healing love. Bless these masks that they protect our medical staff and all who use them. Heal those who are sick with the virus. May they regain their strength and health through quality medical care. Heal us from our fear, which prevents nations from working together and neighbors from helping one another. Amen.
