About Brenda
Brenda Wetzel, Child Care Executive Director
Brenda has been at the Mt. Carmel Child Care Center since 2004, working first as a toddler and pre-school teacher, then lead teacher and in 2017 was named assistant director. Finally, Brenda became the center’s third executive director in 2018.
Prior to joining Mt. Carmel, Brenda worked over a period of seven years in a variety of both for profit and non-profit childcare settings. She has a liberal arts degree from North Hennepin Community College as well as a Childcare Specialist Diploma from Rasmussen College. When not at Mt. Carmel, she is busy at home with her husband (Shawn), three older boys (Nicholas, Joshua, Oliver) and their two dogs.
